Installation and Setup Tips

Video intercoms should be installed by a qualified technician. Use the recommended cable type and respect the maximum cable length, keep intercom cables away from mains cables, and mount outdoor stations at a comfortable height with the camera facing visitors. Protect the station from direct rain where possible, then connect the indoor monitor, configure Wi-Fi app access and test calls, door release and access cards.

How to Choose a Video Intercom System

Start with the building: a villa needs a single button station, while apartment blocks need multi-button stations with one button per flat. Decide on access control, such as RFID cards or fingerprint, and choose indoor monitors by screen size and Wi-Fi app features. Check that outdoor stations and monitors use the same wiring system, such as 4-wire, and plan mounting accessories like angle racks for correct camera viewing angles.

Maintenance and Care

Clean the camera lens and front panel of outdoor stations regularly with a soft damp cloth, check seals after heavy weather and test the door release function periodically. Keep monitor firmware and app access up to date, and remove lost RFID cards from the system immediately.

Planning Secure Building Access

Map every entrance, decide who needs access and how, and choose between call buttons, RFID cards or fingerprints for each group of users. For apartments, label buttons clearly and keep a record of issued cards. A well planned system is easier to manage and more secure for residents and visitors.
